Iceland – July 2021

THE FULL SPECTRUM OF VISIBLE LIGHT

I have walked a lot in the mountains in Iceland. And as you come to a new valley, as you come to a new landscape, you have a certain view. If you stand still, the landscape does not necessarily tell you how big it is. It does not really tell you what you are looking at. The moment you start to move, the mountain starts to move …

It could hardly get more intensive, but there was also so much positivity around me: concessions, praise, honesty, cohesion, reliability, sensitivities, life situations – and no end in sight. And a rock that makes everything possible. If we have experienced anything last year – no place for carelessness any longer. All that endures is love. The wonderful thing about it is that it can appear in so many different ways. That is the best thing about at all.

But now for once – Iceland. Now experiencing differencies – all in between – consciously just he and me. The longing to see the world with him is ingrained. The journey between the ice floes of the Vatnajökull glacier – they are still there. Then a dream of blue tones – when I look through the viewfinder, the colours change every second. Then Diamond Beach – black, ice-clear and extermly symbolic. Even when the high waves crash against the ice floes, I freeze with fascination. I hear loud cracking and rushing sounds and see everything glittering – how indescribably beautiful and yet so fleeting.
